xQc and fans equally shocked after finding that he has a blue tick on Twitter

xQc was streaming recently, talking about Twitter Blue. He got a surprising comment from chat who informed the streamer he has Twitter verification. The former pro player rushed to a new tab in his browser to verify this. When he saw the results, xQc had one question, “How did I get it?”

The streamer explained to chat he could not buy Twitter Blue even if he wanted to. Being a Canadian citizen, xQc had all his bank accounts in Canada. But xQc’s place of work residence is in the US. This causes a clash in the security features of the iPhone. According to xQc, “iPhone does not process any Canadian stuff on US stuff.”

While the explanation given by the streamer was vague, there is a likely explanation for his dilemma. Although xQc was a legacy verified account, he also met one special criterion that got his verification back. Twitter removed the legacy blue tick for all users at first. But later they rolled back the blue tick for those legacy Twitter accounts that had over a million followers.
