However, xQc recently found out, along with the fans, a prominent name in the tech YouTube is stepping down.

This tech YouTuber was none other than Linus Sebastian, renowned for his Linus Tech Tips channel. Furthermore, news of Sebastian moving on and getting offers to sell his channel received some comments from xQc as well.

xQc reacts to Linus Sebastian receiving a huge offer for his company

In a YouTube video titled I’m Stepping Down, Sebastian revealed he got an offer to sell his company. The buyers offered Sebastian $100 million to sell his company. The famous Minecraft streamer xQc was surprised to hear this offer, thinking buyers were lowballing him. He exclaimed, “Wait! That’s it?” Nevertheless, Sebastian disclosed that he turned down the significant offer to sell the company. He rejected it, stating that financial gain is not his driving force.

This decision from Sebastian got the praise of the famous Minecraft streamer. “Oh no, it’s worth way more than that,” xQc said, agreeing with Sebastian’s decision to not sell. The tech YouTuber also stated that he already has a big house and everything he needs, so he did not need to sell his company right away.

Although he is not selling his company today, fans were disappointed to see him step down as CEO. But Sebastian had his reasons to step down too.

Linus Sebastian gives his reason for stepping down from the CEO role

Linus Sebastian recently made an announcement stating that he will be stepping down as the CEO of his media group. However, he is not retiring from content creation, as he will still make some appearances on his YouTube channel, albeit not regularly. In the YouTube video, he also gave his reasons for renouncing his position as CEO.

He said he now lacks the temperament required to manage his organization with over 100 employees. His organization oversees the Linus Tech Tips YouTube channel along with Floatplane Media, LTT Labs, and Creator Warehouse. However, Sebastian will continue acting as the proprietor and director of the organization along with his wife.
