One of the reasons for the eagerness among the fans is because it is so good. However, the other reason is that the next episode is going to feature a familiar face and voice from the game, but in a completely new way. That familiar voice or face is none other than Jeffrey Pierce.

Pierce needs no introduction to the fans who have already played the two ‘The Last of Us’ games. After all, the American actor was the voice actor and also did the motion capture for Tommy Miller. But fans wouldn’t be seeing him as Tommy in episode 4, as Gabriel Luna is playing that character. But Pierce has promised that they won’t be disappointed.

Jeffrey Pierce promises that The Last of Us Episode 4 won’t disappoint fans

The American actor who lent his voice and face to Tommy in the game would be playing the role of Perry. He is an original character for the HBO adaptation of the 2013-released game. Perry is a survivor who acts as a rebel in a former QZ (Quarantine Zone), which was destroyed by the Cordyceps virus.

Jeffrey Pierce further explained that despite these changes and him playing a new character, the die-hard fans wouldn’t be disappointed about the series. The American actor explained, “Y’all are not going to be disappointed. The crew was made up entirely of massive fans of the game. Most took the job for one reason––to make sure that a story they love didn’t get f**k up. They worked their asses off and were brilliant.”

Pierce isn’t wrong as we already know the game’s creator Neil Druckmann is working alongside Craig Mazin to create this HBO adaptation. They have already revealed that this series would have changes to suit the narration. We already saw some changes, like how Tess and Bill died.
