Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast, is arguably one of the most successful YouTubers of all time. He is known for his larger-than-life videos and expensive cash rewards. But way before his astronomical growth, he had managed to give a heartfelt gift to the most important person in his life.

In his early days, Jimmy’s videos weren’t as unhinged as it is today. The Young Youtuber used to do small-scale challenges and skits with his friends. But even back then, Jimmy’s philanthropic nature was prominent. He proved this by gifting his Mother a huge sum to help pay her mortgage.
MrBeast’s proudest day in life
The year was 2017, and MrBeast was still in his initial days. Young Jimmy hadn’t figured out his fortes yet. But one aspect was still very prominent in his videos, and that was giving out money! But not like in the absurd amounts he does right now. One of the biggest giveaways he had done back then was $100,000, and it was to his mother.
On December 3 of 2017, MrBeast uploaded a video named, “Giving My Mom $100,000 (Proudest Day Of My Life)”. In this video, Jimmy documented his experience of helping his mother pay her mortgage. “My mother raised me and my brother mostly on her own, she spent a lot of money on us, I mean, she raised me for 18 years and I just want to get back her a little bit so…” said the Young entrepreneur.
He talked about how it is believed that it takes $1 Million to raise a kid until he is 18 years old and this gift is just a fraction of what his mother has given him. He thanked her numerous times and confessed again and again how he owe a lot to his mother and how much he was grateful for providing something for his mother in return.
In the end, when he finally handed over a cheque for $100K to his mother, the moment became truly touching. Seeing her son doing so much for her, she broke down in tears. Not only Jimmy’s mother but even his team was also moved, as one of them said, “Y’all Gonna Make Me Cry”.
After declining a couple of times, Jimmy’s mother accepted the help from her son and with wet eyes and a proud heart, she embraced him warmly. During the last minutes of the video, his mother said, “You use me for view and I get to pay off my mortgage…what an entrepreneur!” showing her quirky side.
