Streaming and content creation have become easy-to-get-into careers now. All that is needed for joining is a phone/webcam and an enthusiastic mindset. But now, looks like keeping an eye out for their audience will also be required from an influencer.

Ludwig and Ninja give their honest opinion on the accountability of influencers

Recently, a YouTuber named WillyMacShow started a Twitter debate on the responsibility of streamers toward their audience. He argued streamers don’t hold responsibility towards their audience. Unless a streamer purposefully asks their audience to carry out something, they hold no obligation. According to him, every person has their own views, and pinning them on the influencer is not valid. Furthermore, he argued, “If you have 100,000 viewers, statistically speaking one of them is going to be unhinged.

His arguments did not bode well with the fans reading the tweet. Many have come forward to deny the arguments made by WillyMacShow. In the list of people denying his arguments were prominent streamers Ludwig and Ninja.

Both of the streamers shared contrasting views from WillyMacShow. Ludwig called his reasoning “incredibly weak” and fellow streamer Ninja agreed with him. The Fortnite legend tweeted, “You aren’t responsible FOR them but YOU have a responsibility to be a good role model and leader, especially when you are talking about sensitive topics.
