Rachell “Rae” Hofstetter, popularly known as Valkyrae, is a famous streamer who began her streaming career on Twitch. She became a successful streamer on the purple platform. But in 2020, Rae quit Twitch to join YouTube for an exclusive streaming contract.

But before becoming a successful streamer, she had three jobs simultaneously for her living. She had jobs at GameStop, a bank, and even at a car wash. And besides all these jobs, she had this side hustle of streaming. But what got her into this side hustle was some support from her fans in her early days.

How did Valkyrae become a streamer?

The YouTube streamer with 3.68 million subscribers came to this far thanks to some 15,000 followers on Instagram. The 30-year-old recently shared the incident about how a simple post on Instagram upon hitting 15 thousand followers about being a streamer got her streaming career started.

Valkyrae shared, “When I hit 15,000 followers on Instagram, I remember posting, What do you guys think about YouTube videos? I remember people commented have you heard of Twitch before? We would love to watch you play. You should play on Twitch, and that’s when I learned of it, and so I just literally streamed just to be around people online and have fun, really happy streaming.”

The YouTube streamer continued, “And, really happy working, and that’s when I started to get really addicted to it. I would work, and I would stream for nine hours, then go to work and then go to my other job and then stream for another nine hours back to back. But I loved it.”

Thanks to that post on Instagram, the internet got the most watched female streamers. She is among the most favorite streamers, and all her streams get millions of views. Undoubtedly, fans love to enjoy her fun streams, especially her Among Us streams with famous streamers like Pokimane, Disguised Toast, LilyPichu, Corpse, and Sykkuno.
