Darren Watkins Jr., also known as IShowSpeed, is a rising star in the streaming scene. With his energetic personality, he garnered a lot of popularity last year. However, the streamer has begun to draw the soccer community as his passion for the game grows.

He was one of the few high-profile streamers to stream the latest FIFA World Cup in Qatar. You might be wondering how this 17-year-old American teenager became so obsessed with soccer. So it was none other than the Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo that inspired Speed to love this global sport. The 37-year-old has hundreds of millions of followers worldwide. Among that huge crowd of people following him is IShowSpeed, who even wrote a song for the soccer athlete. But this is not the end, as Speed has done something incredible for his soccer idol yet again.

The 17-year-old has declared himself the biggest fan of CR7, and his actions to back up this claim continues. He recently got a tattoo of Ronaldo’s face on his arm. But above all these acts, Speed’s greatest wish would be to meet the soccer player and tell him so in person. Further, he has tried to accomplish this dream numerous times.

IShowSpeed attempted to meet his idol in Manchester and Qatar but was unsuccessful in both attempts. However, he has returned to the Middle East to meet with Ronaldo. A video recently went viral that showed the young YouTube streamer is in Saudi Arabia to meet CR7, as he currently plays for Al-Nassr FC.

Those who follow Speed’s livestreams might know he reacted to the Portuguese star moving to Al-Nassr. In that stream, he stated that he was going to Saudi Arabia to watch his soccer idol play. It appears that the 17-year-old actually followed what he said during that livestream.

Many fans have given up hope of seeing him meet Ronaldo, as it never occurs. Meanwhile, some people are eager for him and want to see him meet his idol. Also, a fan recalled that the 17-year-old will see Ronaldo versus Messi in Riyadh, as the CR7 will meet his rival Lionel Messi’s PSG in his upcoming match.
