Call of Duty Warzone 2 has been facing both compliments and criticism. Compliments for bringing the legendary title back with its second installation, and criticism for tuning some changes that weren’t well received by the community. Being an FPS and Warzone Veteran, YouTube streamer, Dr Disrespect voices why he prefers Apex Legends over Warzone 2.
Warzone 2 has been one of the most successful titles in the Call of Duty Franchise. The game brought additional levels, new features, and whole new gaming mechanics (e.g. Gulag 2v2) for the players. While the Gulag format is rolling back to its previous format, players still feel a need to polish the mechanics.
Dr Disrespect has been a YouTuber that has played many games of the Call of Duty franchise on-stream. Prepping to release his own game, ‘Deadrop’, he has observed the mechanics very closely. Thus, he seems to have pointed out the reasons why he prefers Apex Legends over Warzone 2.

Doc said, “As a gamer, that’s what I want to feel – improvement with a noticeable skill gap. I think that is the ultimate recipe. How do you improve in Warzone? You know, you slow down…you slow down or do you jump into 1v4s and try to wipe them out every single time? “I mean, Apex, there’s a lot of mechanics happening that I can tell each one individually is improving”
He continued, “There’s so many different elements in that game that require a sense of brains to make a decision and execute the decision and execute that particular mechanic. That’s why I like Apex, you can feel intelligent design behind the game.”

Thus, this was the admission made by Doc on choosing Apex Legends over Warzone 2. On the brighter end, the developers of the game have voiced that they’ll be making changes to better the game. The fact that Gulag is getting rolled back to its previous format tells that the devs are aware of the players’ opinions and are ready to make it as fresh as possible.
Gamers inevitably attached higher expectations to a franchise like Call of Duty. Thus, it would be exciting to see how the devs work their way around to keep the game up and above its level.
