Amidst the buzz going on around Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Beta run, superstar streamer Ninja invited heat through his latest remarks on the CoD community. The Twitch icon was seen making some allegedly controversial remarks on the fans looking forward to the big launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Following some major backlash from the community, Ninja has issued a clarification suggesting he’s been misunderstood.
The much-awaited installation of the FPS classic CoD is currently being enjoyed by PlayStation players in its first-week beta run. Besides a whole new debate around hackers’ invasion in the gameplay, the beta run has been subjected to a positive response. But during one recent livestream, Ninja expressed his concerns with the progress of Activision’s FPS giant. The controversy has now taken a new turn as the streamer gives a firm justification for his stance.

However, while looking forward to his reaction to the hype built around Modern Warfare 3, fans were rather surprised with his take.
After a streak of strong backlash, the streamer finally addressed the matter through a tweet on X. “0 lies were detected. I also wanna be clear that I don’t WANT the game to fail. I would love nothing more than for streamers and gamers to thrive playing it”, the streamer wrote.

As made clear by the tweet, Ninja highlighted that he had no intention to hurt the sentiments of FPS fans excited about MW3. In fact, the creator is himself rooting for the game to ace the next phase of the franchise. But some weren’t ready to get over the controversial remarks made by the Fortnite streamer during the viral livestream.
Statements that fueled the controversy
A clip from one of his recent streams was shared on X that involved his unfiltered call out to the Call of Duty fans. The latter didn’t spare a chance to roast all the FPS fanatics awaiting the MW3 launch while hailing the early phase of the beta run.
Ninja roasted the Call of Duty community for having high hopes about Modern Warfare 3 after COD NEXT.

“I’m going to go out on a limb and say that the new CoD is going to be riddled with glitches and cheaters when it launches. And, it’ll take them months to even fix one issue. But, guess what? The gunplay is still going to be good and people are going to be j**zing over the mobility that you disgusting, mentally abused… like, players are going to fall for it!”, he stated during the chat box interaction.
The YouTuber went on to predict that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 would be going “dead” around eight months post its release. He said, “Keep playing the game. Eight months are going to go by and the viewership is going to be dead.”

Evidently, these words didn’t sit well with the CoD fans. Now, as the Fortnite pro has shared a clarification, it will be exciting to see how the community responds to the tweet.
