Call of Duty gamer friends Sidy Sow and Chad Ryland have taken these tips to heart and it got them drafted in the NFL. Surprisingly, they both got drafted into the league together as teammates for New England Patriots.

Call of Duty friends makes it into NFL together

These two gamers met at Eastern Michigan and were playing football and COD together since then. Ryland later moved on to Maryland last fall to finish his college. What kept these two players connected during this time was their love for the online shooter game. Both avid gamers stayed connected on the game and texted each other there regularly.

While they were confident of getting drafted into NFL, the outcome came as a surprise to both. The offensive guard and kicker both got drafted by the New England Patriots in the fourth round. Ryland and Sow were the 10th and 15th picks respectively.

The first thing after drafting these two COD lovers thought of was to connect with each other. Sow immediately called Ryland on FaceTime stating, “I thought it was the craziest thing in the world. I needed to talk to him.” Ryland also shared his feelings about the reuniting of friends, stating he cried with his friend in this emotional moment.

A video game that kept the bond alive

When Ryland moved to Maryland, they were worried that their connection would sever. But their love for Call of Duty kept them together. Sow shared his views on them becoming teammates, “We’re big Call of Duty partners. It’s crazy we’re once again teammates.” Ryland also said that both players stayed connected, “We’re still in a couple of group chats together. We like to joke back and forth with each other.”
