IShowSpeed had a pretty good time at the 2023 Ballon d’Or Gala. While the streamer missed out on witnessing his idol Cristiano Ronaldo being crowned the winner, the former probably had tons of moments that successfully offset the heartbreak. And one of the memorable moments was of him having a brief interaction with the Manchester City forward Erling Haaland.
The 23-year-old forward was one of the favorites for this year’s Ballon d’Or award. Last season, the Norwegian won the prestigious European Treble with Manchester City (The Premiere League, The FA Cup, and City’s first-ever Champions League) and kept breaking records during the campaign. While Haaland ultimately was outranked by the Argentine magician but didn’t seem too miserable about it.

IShowSpeed questions about Erling Haaland’s hairstyle
IShowSpeed spotted the 23-year-old Norwegian giant at the Ballon d’Or and had to approach him. As the streamer walked up to Haaland, the Norwegian seemed pretty casual and didn’t hesitate to extend a friendly hand. However, Haaland noticed that IShowSped wasn’t probably wearing the right kind of shoes for the event. Despite donning a suave tuxedo, IShowSpeed had informal shoes on, and the eagle-eyed Manchester City striker didn’t overlook the fallacy.

In a video clip, viewers can hear Haaland calling out IShowSpeed on the matter saying “What’s with the shoes man?“. But the streamer wasn’t taking it and had to say something to stand his ground. The FIFA streamer retorted “What’s with the hair?” before taking everyone in the vicinity by surprise and barking out loud.
However, Haaland didn’t seem to mind and even agreed to click pictures with IShowSpeed before hovering elsewhere. Lionel Messi was crowned the 2023 Ballon d’Or after his significant contribution that helped Argentina win the 2022 World Cup. However, it goes without saying that it left IShowSpeed and many Haaland fans heartbroken.
IShowSpeed’s undying devotion to Ronaldo
Understandably, IShowSpeed wasn’t in the mood after Ronaldo’s loss to Messi yet again at the 67th edition of the French award. However, the streamer did manage to meet a lot of popular faces in the game at the event including the daughter of the legend Pele.
The American streamer loves Cristiano Ronaldo to the extent that he reached Lisbon during the Euro Qualifiers earlier this year. During Portugal’s match against Bosnia and Herzegovina, the two finally met and IShowSpeed couldn’t hold back his broad smile.
