In a live stream, notorious Youtuber and influencer IShowSpeed found out he had been blocked on Instagram by the famous Argentinian soccer star, Lionel Messi. But instead of being upset about having been shut down, the streamer was ecstatic to know that one of the greatest players of soccer had noticed him. 

Darren Watkins Jr., aka IShowSpeed, is infamous on YouTube, sometimes for unpleasant reasons. After being banned on Twitch, Darren migrated to YouTube, where he currently streams. Although Speed is famously known as a Cristiano Ronaldo mega-fan, he also has a deep admiration for Lionel Messi. So much so that even getting blocked by the soccer veteran made the 19-year-old incredibly happy. 

IshowSpeed got blocked on Instagram by Lionel Messi 

On April 30th, 2023, Speed returned to his channel. In a live stream, the streamer showed his fans that he is not able to follow or send messages to Messi using his official Instagram account. To further prove the point, Darren changed to his alternate account and revealed that it is possible to follow and DM using his alternate account. 

The whole situation took a hilarious turn when, instead of getting upset or angry by the fact, Speed went on to excitedly share how happy he is knowing that Messi noticed him. “This man, Messi, himself! He, bro, got on his Instagram, right? He got on his Instagram, right? He clicked on my profile. So, Messi has seen my… Messi seen me! He, bro, he went on my profile. He, bro, he looked at me!” said Speed.

IShowSpeed couldn’t believe this entire ordeal, the Argentinian star who won the last World Cup noticed him! Some of his fans tried to point out the fact that big celebrities such as Messi have dedicated social media teams that moderate their accounts and are most likely to manage the followers and the block lists, but Darren was just too happy to listen to any of this. “He pressed my account! Other than getting blocked by big sports personalities, IShowSpeed has been quite busy. Recently, he released a music video with his friend and the top creator on Twitch, Kai Cenat. The music video is named “Dogs,” and currently has over 4 million views on YouTube. But making this video with IShowSpeed almost got Kai banned again on Twitch.
