Sony’s Spyro is a nostalgia for many fans. Released in 1998, this game was a massive hit on PlayStation. Following its success, it spawned many sequels and even a reboot trilogy. Spyro’s protagonist, Spyro the Dragon is a favorite childhood character for many players. However, after 2018, the Sypro franchise showed no further progress in another game.

Fans were thriving to return to their childhood with their favorite purple-colored dragon. Amid this controversy, rumors are spreading that Toys for Bob might return with another Spyro game for its fans. 

Is a new Spyro game in the making?

2023 marks the 25th year of Spyro The Dragon, which was released back in 1998. Following the immense popularity of the Sypro Reignited Trilogy, fans are speculating that developers might release another Spyro game this year to celebrate its anniversary. Recently, Toys for Bob hit the headlines for their Crash Team Rumble, a multiplayer spin-off game.

Since the announcement of the spin-off game in 2022’s Game Awards, fans were crazily excited. Following the success of both Sypro and Crash franchises, fans were upset seeing that Spyro didn’t receive further attention like Crash. 

Toys For Bob in the mood for a new Spyro spin-off?

Toys For Bob’s Twitter post gave fans a subtle hint about what is their upcoming plans. They posted a collage following the images of some of their popular games. The post specifically mentioned- “Big moves and BIG MOOD for 2023 #LifeatTFB”. 

The collage presented Sypro’s image in the top left corner. It started huge anticipation among the players on whether the developers are planning for something in the Spyro franchise. The main attraction of the image was a unique logo that represented the franchise’s 25th anniversary this year. 

Fans are yet to get convinced 

Although one Spyro fan was spotted discussing this news on Reddit with his followers, there was not much hope among his friends- “GamingBible is reporting a new Spyro game is coming.” He attached an article to his post that speculated this news of a new development in the Spyro franchise.

However, followers were not convinced at all. They believed that the source article of the news does not appear reliable- “Isnt gamingbible a clickbaity website?”.
