Despite the record-breaking debut of Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2 last year, Call of Duty has somehow failed to impress the majority of the players who have been loyal to the series. At least, that’s what the news has been for the past few weeks. Many people have claimed that the action franchise is nearly dead now. As it lacks the appeal it had a few years ago. Moreover, the dwindling number of Warzone 2 players has been the main cause of several fans assuming that the series is done and dusted. But the main question is: is it really dead? Seems like the actual situation is wildly different from the ongoing headlines.
A newly opened gaming museum in Spain has revealed some interesting stats regarding Call of Duty. And going by them, it looks like the long-running saga from Activision is here to stay for years to come. After all, numbers never lie.

Now coming onto to main news itself. At the time of taking the picture (7 PM GMT), it looks like 424,000 people were playing Warzone 2, 184,000 were busy in Modern Warfare II, and 406,000 were playing COD Mobile. To sum it up, a total of 1,104,383 people were reportedly playing Call of Duty across all of its latest installments.
This is actually a mind-boggling piece of information. Especially when considering the fact that many people have declared this series dead already. However, this newest update is showing a completely different picture altogether.
