The final major championship of the year is currently taking center stage at Royal St.George’s in Sandwich, Kent, England. The Open Championship 2021 is the 149th edition of the tournament, and Round 1 saw plenty of low-scoring rounds. Here’s everything you need to know ahead of Round 2 on Friday.
Louis Oosthuizen got off to a terrific start and posted the lowest score in Round 1 at The Open Championship 2021. The South African carded a 6-under-64, while Jordan Spieth and Brian Harman enjoyed their rounds as well. The duo shot 5-under, and trail, Oosthuizen, by one stroke.

Round 2 will be blessed with plenty of sunshine which is always a good sign for golf. The temperature is expected to reach a high of 20° and wind gushes will sway upto 24 km/h. There is no chance of rain whatsoever, in the weather forecast.
