Collin Morikawa became the first American to win a Race to Dubai title. Moreover, he even won the 2021 DP World Tour Championship and registered his third European Tour win of his career. The 24-year-old is continuing his dominance in the golfing world and has concluded an extraordinary season with a win. 

Meanwhile, Collin carded a final round 66 and won the grand finale on the European Tour by three strokes. He peaked at the right time and finished with five birdies in the last seven holes. However, Rory McIlroy, who was leading the event initially, suddenly had a debacle. Hence, Morikawa seized the opportunity and managed to win the event.

Collin Morikawa becomes emotional during the post-round interview

After registering an incredible victory at the 2021 DP World Tour Championship, Collin Morikawa gave an amazing post-round interview. The best part about his interview was he thanked each and everyone who had supported him. Moreover, he also thanked the dignitaries present there for the presentation ceremony.

Meanwhile, as the host concluded the interview, Collin apologized and said he wishes to say a few things. “I’m sorry to keep you guys here longer. Look. I’ve been very lucky to win here three times or three times this year. And since January when I had my first when I’ve talked about things,” said Collin as his voice choked. 

“I lost my grandfather earlier this year, and you know, recently my girlfriend and I were thinking about him. And we’re just so lucky to be with the people you know that we have around us. And you know, that’s about it. Just say thank you. Just enjoy the time you’re with people because you don’t know how much time you are going to have. I am not an emotional guy. I promise,” said Morikawa in the post-round interview.  

Meanwhile, Collin Morikawa has always given some incredible winning speeches or interviews. He has always been a guy who is more mature than his age. Because having so much clarity about life and relationships at the age of 24 is incredible.
