The current joint leader Thomas Detry made an incredible eagle on 338 yards par-4, fifth hole. Detry stood aggressively on the tee box with a driver in hand. He smashed it straight onto the green and gave himself a 17ft putt for an eagle. He then drained an incredible 17ft slight right to left putt to make a remarkable eagle.

Although it was a straightforward and reachable par 4, the players have a hard time deciding whether to take a driver or 3-wood. Taking a driver may become too aggressive, and the ball might fly over the greens. And that’s what happened with Jon Rahm. He tried imitating Thomas Detry but smashed his driver way over the greens. So landing the ball on the greens with a driver was challenging, which Detry did impeccably.
