Valorant is growing with each passing day as they get ready for a full-fledged release. This week, developers introduced a Competitive Mode where players can earn their rank for matchmaking. As we had reported earlier, Riot Games announced a structure for the system, with different ranks and tiers. They even announced how the system would work and what would affect the players’ ranking and matchmaking. In simpler terms, the system would help users match up against similarly skilled players.
Also for a bit more clarity: Rating is about who you play against and how you win/fare against them, not about how many numbers of wins you accumulate. As you play, you will see your rating change based on how well you master defeating similar or more highly rated players.

While the VALORANT rank was never meant to be unattainable, we weren’t really expecting a player to achieve that one for a while. Everyone is still coming to terms with the game mechanics after all. However, today developers announced a player had indeed made it to the very top of the rankings.

Tyson “TenZ” Ngo is a retired professional Counter Strike Global Offensive player, who has taken up Valorant as his new game to compete in. TenZ has made a fantastic start to his new venture, becoming the very first player to reach the top rung of the rankings. But this did not come easy. he had to work for it and work hard.
After weeks of slogging it out, he finished up a game today
