With the triple-header out of the way, F1 now heads to the final two races of the season. With the Saudi Arabian GP a fortnight away, there has been talk of a strict dress code. Do drivers have any limitations on their usual outfits?
When Saudi Arabia first announced its strict dress code, the organizers received immense backlash from F1 fans and the media. However, soon the regulations were removed.

Shorts, sleeveless shirts, dresses, etc feature on a rather extensive list of restrictions. With drivers almost always making their track walk casually with shorts, these regulations faced a lot of backlash from F1 fans. Hence, the organizers were quick to backtrack on their word. “The Ministry of Sports has stressed there will be no dress code at the circuit not at any public places in Jeddah. This applies to everyone, regardless of gender.”

Despite removing the restrictions, the Saudi Arabian GP organizers had a fair warning to respect “the cultural sensitive of Saudi Arabia.”
