Lando Norris, the driver who started at pole position at the Chinese Grand Prix fell victim to Max Verstappen’s driving. The 3-time world champion eventually took the lead and maintained it until the end of the race and that was a spectacle to watch. However, Norris did not lose too many spots in the pecking order, finishing just one position lower than he started.

While this could have been Lando Norris’ first race win in his career, Max Verstappen denied him the chance to do so. Norris’ was sandwiched between the Red Bulls and with Perez coming third, there were obviously more Red Bulls than McLarens up there. When it came to celebrating the victory of the 3 drivers, Lando Norris’s father, Christian Horner, and Helmut Marko were caught enjoying the podium celebrations together. Does this mean that Lando Norris might move to Red Bull?

The relationship between Lando Norris and Red Bull

Red Bull has always been an admirer of Lando Norris and his driving, even before he signed with McLaren. The Papaya team driver was originally offered a contract from Red Bull, which he declined to drive with his current team. But by now, everyone knows that the Bulls didn’t succeed in bringing Lando in. With his father being found celebrating with Helmut Marko and Christian Horner, rumors started to surround the paddocks.

While this could just be a coincidence that Norris’s father watched the race celebrations together with the two prominent Red Bull figures, we must state that Norris has always been a hot pick for Red Bull. The Milton Keynes outfit had been trying to get Norris to drive for their team before he even joined McLaren. Team Principal Zak Brown is positive that Norris is world champion material and has signed the most unique contract with the driver.

The contract does not state an end date and this is the first time that McLaren has made such a move. But in the past, Norris has given his fans a clear-cut reason for not wanting to leave McLaren for Red Bull. Saying that driving alongside the best driver in the world is not the best of ideas according to Norris. That being said, it’s all speculation and rumors as to whether the Briton driver will head to Red Bull. On another note, Norris also made a statement saying something peculiar about the race winner.

According to Lando Norris, Verstappen has not left any room for other drivers to come in first. The Dutchman has been accused of taking out the fun from F1 by making the results very predictable. Winning every time is great, but only for the winner. In fact even Lando Norris had something to say about this matter.

Stating, “If you see the same driver winning every single time without a fight then, of course, it does start to become boring and that is obvious. You have got one of the best drivers ever in Formula 1, in one of the most dominant cars and it is a combination that is deadly,” and to quite an extent, most fans will agree to this.
