Leaving the sport you’ve trained yourself to compete in all your life can be tough. It can take a mental as well as an emotional toll on you. Hence, it is important to draw out a good plan for the future and stick to it. Haas F1’s forgotten driver, Nikita Mazepin, who when through just that, had some beautiful advice for the outgoing drivers.
His F1 career might have stalled because of things beyond his control, but Nikita Mazepin shared a timely piece of advice for the drivers set to follow him. While Sebastian Vettel is retiring from the sport, Daniel Ricciardo, Mick Schumacher, and Nicholas Latifi will not be driving an F1 car regularly next year.

Daniel and Mick are rumored to take on a reserve driver role with Red Bull and Mercedes, respectively. The duo has expressed their desire to fight and continue in F1. On the other hand, it seems Latifi will possibly try his luck in American Racing. But before all of that could come into play, the former Haas driver has shared 5 stages awaiting the drivers after departing the stable.
Mazepin wrote, “Denial. You will find yourself driving circles around your apartment building. Don’t make the mistake I made – turn on your stopwatch. It’s entirely possible that another F1 team will be interested in your results and you won’t have to endure the next 4 stages.”
None of the drivers except Seb have confirmed their futures yet. However, it’s just a matter of time before official statements from them come out. Fans will be delighted to welcome the friendly face of Ricciardo and Schumacher back in the F1 paddock.
Popular F1 reporter believes Haas was “fed up” with Mick Schumacher’s entourage before replacing him with Nico Hulkenberg
Haas tried to bring young blood into the team with Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin in 2021. However, their plan didn’t work out according to Guenther Steiner’s liking. The American team has ditched the youth and has now gone for experience as Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg take the steering wheel for Haas next year.
Moreover, Sky Sports’ Martin Brundle believes that Mick Schumacher’s staff and family had a role to play in his sacking. His uncle, Ralf Schumacher, was quite open in expressing his vexation and poor treatment of Schumacher by Haas.

Brundle reported, “They have gone for the security of experience – Mick crashed too many cars.” He also added, “I think the team were fed up of Mick’s entourage and all the pressures that came with that”.
“He has been dropped by Ferrari as well, so it’s difficult times for him. Mick will pop up somewhere else. I think he’s worthy of a place on the grid – maybe in a reserve role, treading water. Haas want that experience and confidence rather than trying to bring young guns in, which hasn’t worked for them.”
