Perhaps a fact as old as time, we all know Formula 1 drivers love MotoGP. There is a massive amount of admiration that goes both ways. We have even witnessed the likes of MotoGP legend and nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi test an F1 car on many occasions. Perhaps it was his desire to always race in a four-wheeled vehicle, even though he was one of the best on two. However, as it turns out, this desire never died out in Rossi as the Italian made a shock switch in the preferred number of tires to race on years after his retirement.

The MotoGP legend announced he’s hanging up his helmet at the tail end of 2021. Considered one of the greatest to ever grace the sport, Rossi retired after winning practically everything, breaking multiple records. His retirement might not have come as a surprise after practicing his trade for more than two decades in the premier motorcycling competition. However, the latest update about his career has caught the fans off guard.
