There were talks in the F1 world about Alfa Romeo’s 2021 drivers’ line up. It was certain that Kimi Raikkonen will continue with Alfa Romeo. The questions were about who will end up as Kimi’s teammate.
A report by Sky Italia stated that Mick Schumacher will be joining Haas F1 for the 2021 season alongside Nikita Mazepin. It was also reported that if Mick Schumacher joins Haas, Antonio Giovinazzi would retain his seat in Alfa Romeo.
Kimi Raikkonen was always expected to remain at Alfa Romeo for the 2021 season. But his post-qualifying comments in an interview suggest otherwise. He was asked whether Alfa Romeo will be presenting the same drivers’ lineup next season, “Will you be staying?”

The Iceman in his trademark expression, or lack thereof, replied, “I don’t know”. Then he proceeded to walk away from the interview, unwilling to answer any questions about the subject.

Kimi Raikkonen on the Alfa Romeo car
In a post-qualifying interview, Kimi seemed visibly disappointed with the car’s performance at the Portuguese Grand Prix Qualifying. He said, “I didn’t expect anything, but we’re obviously hoping for a better result”.
The Iceman accepted that the car’s performance was far from ideal. Although he gave due credit to the car where it deserved, he also mentioned the challenges it presented. He said, “I think the care behaved nicely at certain places.
