Michael Schumacher became a force to reckon with ever since he set foot in Formula 1. A clothing brand became champions with him driving for them. Schumacher, a name which only impresses, was left impressed himself when he first stepped foot in an iconic Ferrari location.

The German had become a double world champion by 1995. At a juncture where the drivers think they have achieved more than what they initially set out to do, he was only beginning. After winning two championships with Benetton, he made an unconventional switch to Ferrari in 1996. A team which had only won its last Drivers’ Championship in 1979. And the rest is history. It wouldn’t be an overstatement when it is said that he made Ferrari the greatest team of all times.

The Maranello based outfit was always great and a dream for many. Michael once recalled the out of world experience he had when walking into the Ferrari house. The awestruck Michael Schumacher said“I went in there rather timidly and was spellbound by his desk, above which there is a silver frame with his photograph inside. I’ve always tried to move in there with respect. For a driver occupying the Ferrari house is like a musician who can stay in Mozart’s house.”

Ferrari, after a couple of years of getting beaten on the track, came back with a bang. The Ferrari duo Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz were competing at the front in 2022. While Sainz bagged his first win at Silverstone, Leclerc gave a tough fight to Max Verstappen in the first half of the season for first place in the championship. It was safe to say that Ferrari had built one of the fastest cars on the grid. But other issues remained.

The dream was still out of their clutches, as they lacked in reliability and strategy. With the induction of Fred Vasseur, Charles’ first team boss from Alfa Romeo, the Tifosi await a revival of the Red team. Their Golden boy, Charles Leclerc, is one of the most talented drivers on the grid and if given a reliable car away from strategic mistakes, then they may be on to ending their jinx.
