Haas F1 will land on the 2021 grid with two rookie drivers, Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher. Both the drivers are making their Formula 1 debut as the team is looking to build a new team, hoping they’re revamped approach will help them rise in the standings.
Mick Schumacher is coming to Formula 1 after a championship-winning season at Formula 2. Nikita Mazepin is aware that he faces significant competition in the young German. He also understands that he must come out on top of this battle with his teammate to warrant his promotion to F1.
“You know when you get into F1 there is almost one shot at it, I believe, and it has never been a consideration of how that would be for me.”

“I had this opportunity come up. We decided to take it on and, regardless of what Guenther has said, I would say that my job is to outperform my team-mate, as always, and do the best I can,” explained the Russian.

The F1 community hasn’t given the Russian a warm welcome. He’s being called a paid driver, and even before his debut season kicks off, he landed himself in a major controversy. Thus, his first season with Haas is going to be really important; he needs to prove to the fans that he deserves his seat.

While Haas, Schumacher, and Mazepin all need to prove themselves to the world, team boss Guenther Steiner understands that the rookie drivers need time to grow. Thus, he will give them the chance to make mistakes and grow. However, Mazepin knows that the pressure is still massive.

It is understandable that the two young Haas drivers will need some time to get used to the speed of F1. As Mick Schumacher will try his best to live up to the Schumacher legacy, Mazepin will want to justify his Formula 1 seat.
