Lewis Hamilton turned 37 on January 7, and wishes for the 7-time world champion are pouring in from all around the world. Many all-time greats in other sports have wished the British icon; one such person is Billie Jean King, the legendary tennis player.
The American didn’t just send Hamilton birthday wishes but also tweeted about the stats that he accomplished in the world of Formula One. It was a touching moment in the world of sports, as it showed that ‘game recognizes game’.

Billie Jean King wishes Lewis Hamilton on his birthday
Tennis legend Billie Jean King is perhaps one of the greatest sports personalities in the world. What is admirable about her is that she recognizes talent and doesn’t hesitate to appreciate it. This was the exact case when she wished the Mercedes driver on his 37th birthday.

How did Mercedes perform in 2021?
The Silver Arrows battled Red Bull throughout the season, both in the constructors’ and drivers’ championships. Lewis Hamilton finished with eight victories, five pole positions, and seventeen podium finishes, while Valtteri Bottas finished with one victory, four pole positions, and eleven podium finishes.

Hamilton accumulated 387.5 points, and Bottas bagged 226 points, giving a total of 613.5 points to the Brackley-based outfit, which saw them win the constructors’ championship. Unfortunately, even after this stellar season, Lewis failed to win his eighth title in the world of Formula One.

With the start of the 2022 season just a few months away, the Brackley-based team is looking forward to the winter break and hopes to return stronger. The new pairing, which includes Hamilton and George Russell, gives the team hope for the coming season. They will undoubtedly try for a ninth Formula One constructors’ championship.
