Christian Horner joined Red Bull in 2005. A solid first season in F1 saw Christian guide the Team to seventh in the Constructor’s Championship. Since then, the Brit has seen all kinds of highs and lows. He was the boss when Red Bull dominated, winning four consecutive titles, and even when they saw Mercedes take their crown away.

Christian Horner has worked hard for Red Bull’s success, and the results are in front of us. In the ‘The Diary Of A CEO’ podcast, the Brit revealed how a leader can make a difference in a team’s success. He said, “I think that as a leader how you conduct yourself permeates throughout a business so if you’re feeling the tension and you’re passing that on then for me that’s not a healthy way to lead a team by fear.”

According to Horner, team members should feel that their voices are reaching the leader, “you want people to be able to feel that they can that they’ve got a voice and that voice will be you know will be heard rather than being afraid to speak up for fear.” said the Brit

The first title overwhelmed Max Verstappen, as he was heard on the radio at the 2021 Abu Dhabi GP saying he wants to do the same for 10-15 years. As things stand, we can see more of the power partnership between Horner and Verstappen at least till 2026 as the Brit has a contract till 2026, and Max’s current contract keeps him at Red Bull till 2028.

Red Bull boss praises the ambitions of Christian Horner

Last year, Christian Horner signed a contract extension deal to stay as Red Bull Formula 1 team’s principal. The extension will go until the next generation of power units are introduced in 2026. It seems Red Bull can’t lose their team principal and wants the team to be united during the transition phase.

Speaking on ServusTV, Helmut Marko praised the 48-year-old, saying, “Christian is the team principal, he is in the public eye and I am more in the background.”

Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz once said, ‘Christian who? as during his initial years in the industry, the Brit didn’t have a lot of experience. But Horner had complete faith in him as he said, “I already knew him from Formula 3000 and other junior categories and I knew about his ambitions and skills.”
