The end result was indeed a win for the entire fandom, as F1, along with the governing body, FIA, and Hamilton’s team, Mercedes-AMG, gave out the much-yearned statement through social media.

The Mercedes star took to Twitter to release a statement directed at the former Brazilian world champion. “It’s more than language. These archaic mindsets need to change and have no place in our sport. I’ve been surrounded by these attitudes and targeted my whole life. There has been plenty of time to learn. Time has come for action,” Hamilton wrote.
