The Singapore GP is one amongst a multitude of night races that Formula 1 hosts on its calendar. However, owing to one special fact, only the Grand Prix held at the Marina Bay street circuit is crowned as F1’s Night Race.

The Singapore Grand Prix has given us many moments to cherish as a Formula 1 fan. The Lion of Singapore, Sebastian Vettel winning his final race for Ferrari in 2019 comes to mind. However, it has also been the home of controversy. The infamous ‘Singapore Sling’ chicane and Crashgate top the list. However, the Marina Bay circuit will forever be known as F1’s night race because of one very special trivia.

Even though other night races have been accommodated on the Formula 1 Calendar, the Singapore Grand Prix was the first ever night race to be held in Formula 1. The first-ever night race in Formula 1 was held in 2009 at the Marina Bay street circuit.

The Singapore Grand Prix is always expected to be a grand affair. However, if you were to put together all your life’s savings into this one event, how much would it cost you? Well, apparently, there is a number to this question.

According to CNA Luxury, “Although general admission starts from S$118, prices can go up to S$25,000 for a Platinum VIP package. This gives you admission for 30 guests, six bottles of champagne, two bottles of Belvedere Vodka, a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label and more.”

In terms of accommodation, “The most expensive Noir Suite, which can accommodate 15 to 20 guests, is going for an eye-watering price tag of S$100,000. The Amber Suite, suitable for 10 guests, starts from S$45,000. A Platinum Table, also for 10 guests, starts from S$38,500.”
