Why the 2021 Ferrari F1 Car Is Called the SF21

It’s no secret that Ferrari had a disastrous season last year. The Maranello-based team only scored 131 points, which saw them finish 13th in the constructor’s championship, their worst season in F1 in forty years.
The reason behind this was a lackluster car, an underpowered engine that saw the Italian team struggle throughout the season. The talent and skill of Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc weren’t good enough to help the team fight for the championship.
However, their new creation, SF21, is a one of hope, alongside the addition of fresh energy in the team in the form of Carlos Sainz. With a new-look team ready to go, the team hopes to be back on top of the sport, where they belong.

The SF21 will be the new Ferrari challenger
Mattia Binotto said, “The car will be called SF21. It’s a very simple name because we believe that next year is a transition to 2022. So let’s keep SF21 the name of the car. It will be partially a frozen car, same chassis as 2020.”
The car will be revealed on the 10th of March, 2:00 PM CET. The car will be piloted by Sainz and Leclerc in the 2021 championship, who have breathed new hope into the outfit and given the team a boost in confidence.
