In a season as great as the one gone by, it may have become difficult to choose who to support. While there were clear divisions between the Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton fans, the internet has stumbled upon a young karter who may have had his hands tied.
Lewis Hamilton sat out the FIA gala in Paris, where he would be hailed as the Personality of the Year. Thus, as the driver failed to be there, a budding karter named Zack Zhu was left disappointed. Zhu would have assisted in the trophy’s presentation when he planned to show Hamilton his karting helmet inspired by the champion.

However, at the gala, the young driver made some more favorites; this time, from the opposing side! Not only was the young guy thrilled to meet Verstappen, he even hailed the Red Bull team principal to be his favorite. Surely, the season has been a rollercoaster for the young lad!
Lewis Hamilton may face repercussions
Although the reason behind Hamilton’s absence from the gala was valid, it still goes against the rules. The rules state that the top three drivers must attend the prize-giving ceremony. Further, with Ben Sulayem in Jean Todt’s seat, he wishes to apply all the rules to the fullest.

In his first ruling as the FIA President, Sulayem explained his statement towards Hamilton. “I know Lewis is really sad about what happened. I would say he is broken. But we have to look into if there is any breach. [After] a few hours now as president, I cannot give answers without going back to the facts.”

This also comes with the rumors of the seven-time champion leaving the sport; Toto Wolff had set the wheels in motion after stating that he hoped the driver doesn’t leave the sport. Lewis Hamilton has remained silent and off social media a week after he lost the title to Verstappen. Still, we hope to see the titan come back and clinch the historic eighth title in 2022.
