The Spanish legend put on an astonishing performance to come from two sets down to claim a second Australian Open title. The F1 world also took to social media to congratulate Nadal on his accomplishment.

McLaren driver Lando Norris took to Twitter to express his admiration for Rafa. Unsurprisingly, his former teammate Carlos Sainz was also watching the match as he took to Twitter to showcase support for his fellow Spaniard.

Former F1 world champion Nico Rosberg congratulates Rafael Nadal

Former F1 world champion Nico Rosberg took to social media to congratulate Rafael Nadal on the achievement. Before the beginning of the Australian Open, Rosberg had practiced with Nadal and wished him good luck for the tournament.

” Good training session, @RafaelNadal. Good luck for the #AustralienOpen…fingers crossed!” wrote Nico wishing Nadal.

Fans quickly picked up the tweet and mocked him for cursing the chances of Nadal winning. The German driver is famous for giving his predictions before the events and jinxing his picks. He had previously shown support and mentioned that Charles Leclerc would win the Monaco Grand Prix in 2021.

The Ferrari driver did not even start the race after his pole position. He again displayed his jinxing power when he predicted that Germany would beat England in Euro 2020. England football team defeated Rosberg’s native country for the first time in an international tournament the next day.
