The developers will roll out the game on Steam just before the holiday season begins. The Steam version will launch on November 4 along with the Season 7 of Apex Legends. Players can have a relaxed holiday enjoying their favorite game on their favorite platform.

The developers have more good news for those who are worried about having to make a new profile. The game will have a port feature about which Chad says, “if you’ve previously been playing on Origin, feel free to give it a spin on Steam—all your account progression and unlocks will carry over between the two platforms.”

This is a perfect deal for players who play on PC since they can now manage Apex along with their other favorite games on a single platform. At the same time, they can also enjoy deals from Origin if they want to.

The news for Nintendo fans, however, is not fortunate. The developers have admitted that they are facing difficulties porting the game to the Nintendo Switch. They also added that they do not want to ruin the experience of players by delivering a rushed product. Therefore, they want to take their sweet time to provide the best experience to players.

Hence, they have decided to launch Apex for the Switch in 2021. To assure the fans and keep them waiting, Chad said, “when Apex Legends does launch on Switch, it’ll come with support for cross-platform play, our latest seasonal content, and full feature parity with the other versions of the game.”

EA’s decision to expand the game to more platforms is going to be a welcome one. The expansion to Switch is also going to be a huge financial gain for them. Switch players can then have the game in their hands as well as play on their TV using the dock.
