As the saying goes, “Desperate time leads to desperate measures,” a passionate young boxer resorted to making a skit to get what he wants from Eddie Hearn. Brandon Scott is a 19-year-old professional boxer with a record of 5 wins against no defeats and one knockout. Apart from his promising skills inside the ring, the young boxer appears to have the personality to captivate the audience even outside the squared circle. Although Hearn is a polarising figure in the sport, it would be hard to deny that his management, Matchroom Boxing, is contracted with one of the best boxers. However, apart from superstars, Matchroom is also a home for prospects like Scott.

Just a few months ago, Scott fought and defeated a boxer named Reynaldo Cajina via a unanimous decision. Hearn was in attendance for the fight and the victor capitalized on his win by using his oratory skills which left his promoter impressed. In the post-fight press conference, Hearn stated, “I think everyone needs a bit of Brandan Scott these days.”

Although it would appear that relationship between the fighter and promoter is affable, the recent comments made by Scott might make that assumption questionable. Recently, the featherweight fighter uploaded a video on his Twitter account wherein he appears to be making a reference to “cashing in his money in the bank contract.” It is a phrase used to infer fighters securing a payday and bypassing promotional politics. In the video, he also sends a message to the promoter for enhancing his payday otherwise he will face unwanted consequences.

Brandon Scott ‘threatens’ Eddie Hearn and the fans are loving it!

Although the video was comical in intent, it had a serious contention. In the video, Scott states, “Eddie, you can run but you can’t hide. I may not have money but what is do have is a very particular style of skills, skills that will be a nightmare for people like you.” He adds, “You can either agree to sign my contract, and that will be it. But if you don’t I will hunt you down, I will fight and I would really piss you off.”

Fans were thoroughly entertained and they made that evident. A Twitter user named Danny found the efforts of the young boxer laudable. He stated, “Modern day boxing is crying out for lads like this…fair play mate I’ll be following your journey..top man and best of luck moving forward!!”
