Fans Request El Clasico to be Moved to Argentina

With tensions rising in the region of Barcelona due to the controversial court decision jailing several leaders of the Catalan independence movement, LaLiga asked the Competition Committee of the Spanish Football Federation that Real Madrid and Barcelona reverse the order of the venues so that the El Clasico in Barcelona could be held at a latter time.

Given this situation, some Argentine fans proposed that the el classic could be played in La Bombonera.

“If they moved an Argentine classic to Spain they could move a Spanish classic to Argentina, the monumental or the bombonera as the venue because the show can be guaranteed , ” one of the tweets toughly translated while another read: “Let them go preparing La Bombonera.”

The game between Barcelona and Real Madrid- one of the most important fixtures in the Spanish league- was originally scheduled on October 26. All the requests to shift it to Argentina might now be in vain as LaLiga, according to the latest reports, have decided to postpone the match to date which is yet to be decided.
