However, it all started six months ago, when Brady won her first WTA title at the 2020 Top seed Open. Following that victory, the American reached her first Grand Slam semifinal at the last year’s US Open, a match she lost in hard-fought three-sets.

Recently, World No.1 Ashleigh Barty showered praise on Brady’s run at the 2021 Australian Open and hailed her as a superstar on the court. Interestingly, Ashleigh had teamed up with Brady for the Australian Open doubles, although they crashed out in their first-round match.

The Australian believes Brady is certain to reach to the last few stages of the big events consistently and complimented her for being a thorough professional.

“I was absolutely rapt for her. She’s such a brilliant person off the tennis court and then I think on the tennis court she’s a superstar, She’s a fantastic professional. She definitely belongs at the latter end of the big tournaments,” said Barty in an interview.

After ending as the runner-up at the Australian Open, Brady has reached her career-high ranking of No. 13 in the world. In fact, the Australian Open 2021 champion Naomi Osaka also talked highly of Brady’s performance.

Up next, Brady will compete at the 2021 Doha Qatar Total Open in Doha, which begins next week. Last year, Brady lost to Ons Jabeur in the second round of the WTA 500 event in Doha.
