What is Felix Auger-Aliassimme Doing?

Felix Auger-Aliassimme has just announced an amazing project. He is donating $5 to EduChange for every point he wins this year. The points he won in 2019 have been counted for the donation. He has collaborated with BNP Paribas who will match every point with a $15 donation.

This money that is being collected is going to be used to help the children in Togo, a country in West Africa. He has also given many examples of how the money will be used like school support, scholarship kits, etc. Considering the fact that he wins a lot, we can expect a lot of money to be collected.

This is a wonderful initiative by Felix but sadly, it has come at the wrong time. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the ATP tour has been suspended. This means he will not be able to win too many points to donate money to help the children in Togo.

When the ATP tour kicks off again in June then we will see his project working. He will have the motivation to win as he is not winning for himself but for the children in Togo. He knows, with every point he wins one child in Togo is able to live a better life.

I am sure Felix Auger-Aliassime will not limit his project to 2020. He has been limited in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. He will extend his project to 2021 as he has the potential to win a lot more points then. The children in Togo will be hoping for him to win much as he can.
