Spanish striker Fernando Llorente could be the much hyped surprise signing of Manchester United, reports the Mirror.

Since United’s manager Louis van Gaal revealed that the club is looking to sign a new surprise striker, many players have been linked to the Reds as their mystery signing.
However, reports strongly suggest that Juventus man is set to join the Premier League club. Llorente has struggled at the Old Lady since joining them, 2 years ago, scoring only 27 goals in 90 appearances.
Standing 6 foot 5 inches tall, Llorente can be the solution of United’s lack of strength and height up-front. Known for his poacher ability, the 30-year-old could be the United’s man.
Manchester United are said to face competition from Real Madrid, who are also believed to be interested in the Spaniard.
Van Gaal’s side has also been linked with Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller and Barcelona’s Pedro.
