It seems that Scuderia Ferrari have developed a trick to use against Mercedes. According to Mercedes via Auto Motor und Sport, “They tried this Ferrari concept but with that you are losing downforce at the front which you have to find somewhere else and they are surprised how it works at the Ferrari.”

The concept they were referring to was a front wing concept that the Scuderia seems to have perfected. If that is the case, it would explain why the Maranello outfit have been dominating testing so far

However, many know that Mercedes tend to ‘sandbag’ in testing and show their true colours in the actual season itself. But the question is, are Mercedes genuinely worried or are these concerns just their way of downplaying their own strengths and let their rivals lower their guard.
