Fetch Interesting Rewards as Fortnite Introduces ‘Reboot A Friend’ Event

Epic Games sent out emails to all the Fortnite players recently containing an invitation to the Battle Royale game’s latest event. The ‘Reboot a Friend’ event by the developers aims to increase the current active players. Moreover, it also encourages players to compete as duos and squads.
The ‘Reboot a Friend’ event will also offer four different rewards for players who get the “gang back together.”
For the event, players have to invite a friend who quit playing Fortnite, back to the game. Both the player and the friend can earn these rewards as they complete matches together.

Fortnite Reboot a Friend event: Rewards and details
The event will start on December 14th at 3 AM EST. Participating in the event is simple. All players have to do is invite their friends through the Reboot a Friend website. Epic did not link this website in the email, so it’s unclear how long it will take to make the website public.

As per the email, players can earn different cosmetic items through this event. These include the Twin Talons Pickaxe and the Holofoil wrap.

Epic initially tested the event in Brazil and Italy. According to the Fortnite wiki, this event also included a Reboot Emoticon and Key Change Music as rewards. Players can unlock the emote after completing the first game. The music, pickaxe, and wrap can be unlocked after completing five, ten, and twenty games respectively.

The website is not the only ambiguous aspect of this event. Epic has also failed to reveal how long the friend had to be away for them to be eligible for this event. Hopefully, Epic releases more information about the event before it starts. Regardless, it will a be a great way to earn free rewards for players.
