Final Fantasy Legend Series is Coming Back to Nintendo

Nintendo Switch users are in for a treat. Square Enix has announced it will release the first three SaGa series on Switch later this year. The series includes Final Fantasy Legend, Final Fantasy Legend 2, and Final Fantasy Legend 3. The collection will be priced at $19.99.

In celebration of the SaGa series’ 30th anniversary, the first three games in the series are coming to Nintendo Switch in one collection,” Nintendo mentioned in their blog.

Nintendo is looking to bring a lot of old, fan-favorite titles back onto their platform. The remastered and original collections will make significant additions to the lineup.

Nintendo had also announced World of Tanks Blitz, Minecraft Dungeons DLC, Jump Force, and many more titles at the Direct Mini event. Moreover, Nintendo also gave us a look at Kingdom of Hearts: Melody of Memory.

Another piece of good news for Final Fantasy fans is the Crystal Chronicles, which will enable users to play co-op.

What to expect from Nintendo bringing back SaGa Series?

Nintendo released the SaGa series back in the 1980s and 90s for the Game Boy. Final Fantasy Legend was the first RPG game for the system. It was also the first game to sell over a million units of the genre. Nintendo has continuously launched newer titles in the series, with the last one being released in 2019.

There is something new coming to the series as well. Final Fantasy Legend series will come with new enhancements such as high-speed mode, screen magnification, and game screen background customization, optimized for Switch.

It will be interesting to see how much Nintendo has worked on the title that had brought it all the glory in the early days. The optimization for Switch will surely be a treat.

Furthermore, the games will be compatible with handheld, TV, and tabletop mode. The game file will be around 219MB in size. SaGa Series releases on December 15, 2020.
