Tommy Fleetwood

If there’s one player hotter than the Indian summers, it’s probably Tommy Fleetwood. This is the first time he will be teeing up in Delhi since 2016, but there’s plenty to count on Fleetwood. 5 top 10s in his last 10 starts, including his much-awaited win at the TOUR Championship. And since Delhi Golf Club rewards players with stellar accuracy off the tee, expect Fleetwood to be in the top 10, if not the top 5.

According to Data Golf’s pre-tournament forecast, Tommy Fleetwood has a 36.2% chance of finishing in the top 5. His strong stats support this prediction, including a 7th-ranked driving accuracy, 18th in Strokes Gained: Approach, and an impressive 5th in SG: Putting over the past three months. So, there’s plenty of chance for Fleetwood to prove he is a worldwide player. Once again. He is also one of the two top 5 players in the field, beside Rory McIlroy.

Rory McIlroy

The only Grand Slammer in the field, Rory McIlroy, has enjoyed a pretty solid season. In his last 10 starts on the Tour, McIlroy has finished inside the top 10 seven times. Aside from that, McIlroy has added solid wins to his 2025 resume, including The Masters, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and the Players Championship. Plus, the Irish Open.

According to Data Golf’s pre-tournament predictions, Rory McIlroy has a 31.0% chance of finishing in the top 5. The numbers back him up: he’s 2nd in SG: Off the Tee (0.671) and 3rd in SG: Total (1.543). He will be teeing up in India for the first time, but the Irish pro will certainly be looking to win his Race to Dubai for the seventh time.

Ben Griffin

Plenty to root for when it comes to Ben Griffin. Griffin has had 4 top-10 finishes in his last 10 starts, including a T10 at the U.S. Open and a runner-up finish at the Procore Championship. With two wins and 11 top-10s this season, Griffin’s stats are looking solid. Plus, he’s currently ranked 12th in the world.

As per Data Golf’s predictions, Griffin has a 26.1% chance to crack the top 5 at Delhi Golf Club. But plenty will be at play from his side as well. He currently ranks 5th in SG: Total (1.223) and 59th in SG: Off the Tee (0.196) on the Tour. So, expect another top 10 finish from Giffin, if not the top 5, this week.

John Parry

In a list that includes McIlroy, Fleetwood, and Griffin, John Parry may seem out of place, but he has a reason to be here. Parry’s a recent Challenge Tour winner in Delhi (2024) and has a top-20 finish at this course (2015 Indian Open). This year alone, he’s notched a 4th-place finish at the Soudal Open and a 2nd-place finish in Kenya. In fact, the courses were pretty similar to the par-72 Delhi Golf Club, requiring accurate and strong ball striking on tight, tree-lined tracks.

On the other hand, Parry has performed pretty well this season, with six top-3 finishes in the last 12 months, including a Mauritius win and a stellar 3rd place at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. His numbers are impressive too: 3rd in SG: Approach on the DP World Tour this season and 14th in SG: Total.

Anirban Lahiri

LIV Golf pro Aniraban Lahiri has enjoyed a solid year, with three top-10 finishes in 15 starts. He kicked off 2025 with a 10th-place finish in the International Series – India and followed it up with a 7th-place finish at LIV Adelaide. However, his 2nd-place finish at LIV Virginia in June was a breakout moment, and he’s been consistent since.

Plus, he’s a past winner of the Indian Open here (2015) and has finished runner-up twice (2013 and 2016). And that’s why the stats look in his favor as well. He ranks 12th on LIV in putting average. He’s also impressive in scrambling (16th) and driving accuracy (17th), with solid greens-in-regulation stats (26th). That means he is pretty much prepared this week.

While that sums up our top 5 bets for this week, it’d be criminal not to mention the other important names. That includes World No. 13th Viktor Hovland, Brian Harman, Luke Donald, and Keita Nakajima, among others.
