Soccer fans in America have yearned to watch the top European players in MLS over the years. Luckily for them, David Beckham’s Inter Miami made this a reality by unveiling none other than Lionel Messi as the latest signing.

This generated enormous buzz amongst fans and celebrities alike. It’s hard to hide your excitement in such moments and rapper Rick Ross’s cute welcome video for the GOAT is a testament to that.

Rick Ross pulled out his ‘Batmobile’ to welcome Lionel Messi to Miami

Earlier in the day, Rick Ross took to Instagram to share his enthusiasm upon Messi’s Inter Miami unveiling. Standing in front of a Messi billboard, the ‘Money in the Grave’ hitmaker hyped up his home city, his people and welcomed the GOAT on behalf of everyone.

“On behalf of Miami 305 your host city, Leo Messi, we welcome you,” said the rapper. He continued, “The biggest boss Ricky Ross, the most beautiful city, the greatest city in the world, we welcome the greatest player for the greatest moments, the greatest memories, (from) the boss Ricky Ross.” 

While Rick Ross was excited to the maximum, legendary football player and Inter Miami owner David Beckham almost had tears in his eyes after Messi’s unveiling.

As everyone knows, Beckham was one of the pioneer celebrity investors in MLS, and with Messi joining his team, things are finally falling in place for his vision of growing soccer in America.

“Ten years ago, I started my journey to build a new MLS team. I said then, I dreamt of bringing the best players in the world to South Florida and to the great city of Miami. Players who shared our ambition to grow soccer in this country. . .We are so happy that you are all here to celebrate this incredible moment,” said the ex-PSG man to ESPN.

He capped his thoughts off on an emotional note citing how it’s a dream come true for him. “So please forgive me for feeling a little bit emotional tonight. It truly is a dream come true to welcome Lionel Messi to Inter Miami. . .Bienvenido a La Familia.”
