Cristiano Ronaldo might be a 35-years-old but there is no denying that he is still a goal-scoring machine. Leading the Serie A in goal for the 2020-21 season, the Portuguese superstar showed his class last season.

But unlike the 5-time Ballon D’or winner, Juventus had a season to forget. Despite CR7’s incredible heroics, the Italian giants were stripped off of their 9-year-streak of winning the league and barely qualified for the Champions League.

Allegri to use Cristiano Ronaldo & Paulo Dybala in Juve attack

Last season, Juventus might have had 76 goals in Serie A, but the offense looked pretty stagnant. With manger Andrea Pirlo deploying a 4-4-2 system, Juve’s attack were too much dependent on the output of the two striker. While Ronaldo was a mainstay, Pirlo opted Alvaro Morata over superstar Paulo Dybala,

But Allegri might be making a big change next season. Juve vice-president Pavel Nedved recently confirmed that Dybala will feature alongside CR7 in Juve’s attack next season. “Allegri loves to play Dybala and Ronaldo together.” Given the sparse number of opportunities for him, Dybala had a season to forget and rumors of his departure became rampant because of an expiring contract.

After a tumultuous 2020-21 season, Juve not only suffered in terms of results, but they also took a massive financial hit due to the pandemic. This prompted rumors about a possible sale of superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

But Nedved again clarified the club’s position on the Portuguese superstar. The 48-year-old recently confirmed that the 35-year-old is indeed staying with the club. “Cristiano Ronaldo will come back on Monday and will STAY with us here at Juventus”

Juventus certainly have a great squad with the likes of Ronaldo and Dybala leading the offense and the duo of Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci anchoring the defense. Given the squad they have, a couple of additions might do the trick for the Italian giants to become a European powerhouse again.
