Footballers Join in to Mourn the Death of NBA Star Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant, retired NBA star, died in a helicopter crash near Calabasas, Calif. His daughter, Gianna Bryant was also amongst the nine casualties caused by the crash.

It has been reported that Kobe was headed towards the Mamba Sports Academy, where he coached his daughter’s team.

The Academy was said to be hosting a tournament for basketball teams from third grade to eighth grade. Though the news of his death led to all the matches being cancelled.

Following are the individuals who died in the crash, Kobe Bryant, Gianna Bryant, Alyssa Altobelli, John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Christina Mauser, Payton Chester, Sarah Chester, Ara Zobayan.

Kobe Bryant has been widely respected as one of the most celebrated figures of world sports. His sudden demise has led to a wave of shock and sadness throughout the world.

Sadly the administration reported that it could take numerous days to recover the bodies. As the area of the crash has been described as “very rough terrain”.

The chief medical examiner for Los Angeles County, Dr Jonathan R. Lucas was quoted saying, “We will be doing our work thoroughly, quickly and with the utmost compassion,

“We’re doing everything we can to confirm identifications and give closure to the families involved.”
