Answering this question, Matt Riddle said, “Yeah! I was on a winning streak on my way out and stuff like that. Just seeing other people in the division, they were kinda in the same pot I was or making their waves kinda in their prime in their late 20s going into their 30s. I feel like I’m not sure if I’d be champion, but I’m pretty sure I would have cracked at least the top 5. Or maybe at least got a title shot. Maybe would have been champion! You never know.”

He said it all aligned with him. He didn’t enjoy the sport as much as one would have thought. Riddle said, “And at the end of the day, I didn’t like hurting people. And in the UFC I hurt a couple of people. I broke one guy’s jaw and another with my elbow. And I’m not even one of the bad-bad guys! When you hurt somebody, that’s a good day, you know. It’s kind of a crappy feeling at the end of the day when you start thinking about what you do and what your benefits are.”

So Matt Riddle has kept a positive attitude and seen the silver lining to him being fired. That’s a great attitude to have!
