?He is also the most beautiful player to watch. But Djokovic won most of the matches against him. I think that he is even more complete [than Federer].

Sadly, a persistent elbow injury saw him out of action for a while. Even after two surgeries in the last 12 months, he has struggled to get back to full fitness. As a result, he has drifted away from the top players in the world.

Krajicek believes Djokovic’s injury, coupled with Andy Murray, Stan Wawrinka and Rafael Nadal’s problems has benefited Federer.

?Roger is [No 1] because his major rivals are injured,? Krajicek added.

?His biggest result was [returning to No 1 in 2012] because Federer managed to overcome Djokovic and Murray who were in good form that year.?

However, Krajicek has praised Federer’s ability to adapt his game over the years. This was more prominent when Stefan Edberg was his coach in 2014 and 2015.

?Edberg taught him to finish the rallies, now Roger knows how to come to the net and cover the court,? Krajicek said.

?Roger never tries to win the point with the first volley.

?He puts the opponent off balance and chooses the open angle, just like Edberg was doing.?

Federer has refused to underestimate Nadal, despite being seven-time Wimbledon champion.

?I think he is one of the big favourites to win Wimbledon,? Federer said.

?Regardless if he plays Queen?s or not I think the key for him is going to be the early rounds in Wimbledon.

?There is always a few difficult first-round draws as usual.

?But it is a big draw, a lot of players, anything can happen.

?Like for any top guy, I think the first two rounds at Wimbledon are very important because the grass and the courts play so different to anywhere else in the world. That?s the key there.

?Look I?m sure he?s coming with confidence, he?s had an incredible clay court stretch and if he?s practicing already that means he?s healthy.

?When Rafa is healthy, anything is possible for him. So, I think he?s looking very good for Wimbledon.?
