Greg Rusedski praised Stefanos Tsitsipas in a statement to Amazon Prime. He said, “He’s so much better as a player than he was a year ago and he’s getting better.”

Rusedski is confident that Stefanos Tsitsipas can conquer the Wimbledon title and also reach the no. 1 ranking at the ATP leaderboards. He continued, “His transitioning game coming forward, playing doubles so much more this year… I think he will be a Wimbledon champion as well as a world No. 1 one day. He’s that good.”

Rusedski later confirmed Stefanos Tsitsipas with legendary players like Roger Federer and Bjorn Borg. “He reminds me of a young Roger Federer. A guy who’s got that full package. He looks a little bit like Bjorn Borg the way he walks around the court but what I like, he’s a complete player and he has this mental fortitude where he believes he belongs,” said the former world no. 4.

Stefanos Tsitsipas is one of the rare players in the era dominated by Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic to beat them in three different tournaments at the age of 20 only.

Rusedski further added, “It’s also the tragedy, he nearly drowned as a youngster and I think that put his life in perspective. He has things he enjoys off the court but on the court, against the very best, he believes he can beat them and should beat them. That is a very rare quality to find in a player and he has that.”

Stefanos Tsitsipas will face the British No.1, Kyle Edmund in the first round of the Fiver-Tree Championships at Queen’s Club, London.
