Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 trailer is finally out, and it seems the rumors of a ‘Marvel-themed’ season were correct. The appearance of Thor’s hammer, the Bifrost sites, everything was a setup for this. So before we get into the details, check out the trailer below.

The trailer shows Marvel superheroes, Iron Man, She-Hulk and Wolverine, on their respective missions in different parts of the world. Suddenly, someone conjures up the Bifrost out of nowhere and the three superheroes are transported to a different location entirely. Moreover, Groot, Mystique, Storm, Rocket, and the villain Dr Doom have also accompanied them.

Turns out, it is Thor who’s called upon them for help. They come face to face with the Fortnite characters, ready to battle it out. Just then, Thor steps in and points them towards the real threat: Galactus.

This could be huge! We’ll also probably see Captain America join the fight later during the season, as he was part of the teasers.

So, the ‘God of Thunder’ has lost his memories but knows about the incoming threat i.e. Galactus. He then calls other superheroes to his aid as they prepare to face the ‘Devourer of Worlds’.

The trailer shows the Avengers operating from the Helicarrier. A short glimpse of the gameplay also reveals how each superhero comes with his/her own abilities and how you can use them to obliterate your enemies.

The rumors that the new season would be space-themed were partially correct. This trailer also looks a lot like the Endgame event where players could play as Thanos and a few other Avengers. It’ll be interesting to see how this ties up with the current story of Fortnite. There are a lot of unanswered questions and we need to find out what exactly brought Thor on the island.

Interestingly, Marvel’s Eternals movie is in production. The rumor there suggests that Galactus will be a part of Phase 4 of the MCU. So, his arrival in the game could also point towards his possible appearance in the movies. It is a long shot, but it’s worth thinking about.

For now, the Marvel heroes and Fortnite characters must work together to stop Galactus. Let’s see what more this season has in store for us.
