Chapter 2 Season 5 of Fortnite facilitated a plethora of collaborations, which was one of the major reasons behind its success. Bounty hunters from popular movie and game franchises like Predator, God of War, and Halo, among many others, made their way to the island.

Despite such massive crossovers, the previous season did not contribute enough to the storyline. In addition to that, the map did not undergo significant changes, and many players had complained about the same. From the looks of it, Chapter 2: Season 6 will change this narrative.

Fortnite already feels like a completely different game with the map changes and weapon-crafting system. Moreover, the latest Zero Crisis event has dropped some huge hints about the upcoming developments in the battle royale’s complex storyline.

Two new characters join the Fortnite storyline

At the beginning of the Zero Crisis cinematic, Agent Jonesy rejects the orders of his unknown boss. However, viewers with subtitles could figure out that it was Doctor Slone. She seems like an executive officer in the Imagined Order, and will certainly play a huge part in this season.

The cinematic trailer revealed another character named the Foundation who seems to be the leader of the Seven. Following the Visitor, the Scientist, and the Paradigm, the Foundation is the fourth known character of this cosmic group. As per several fan theories, all the aforementioned travelers are actually the snapshots of the original Visitor from Chapter 1, Season 3.

Epic Games teases Unreal Engine 5

During a split-second animation, the Zero Point revealed a graphically realistic version of the Fortnite island. Interestingly, Epic Games is currently working on a the Unreal Engine 5, and will implement it soon. Hence, it is safe to assume that Fortnite will offer photo-realistic graphics in the near future.

In a recent video, prominent YouTuber PlayStationGrenade talked about the possibility of realistic graphics coming to Fortnite, and more such Easter eggs:

Agent Jonesy and his crossover outfit

Agent Jonesy’s outfit during the Zero Crisis event comprised clothing items of several characters that exist outside the Fortnite universe. The tattoo on his left arm is a GI Joe symbol, while the chest plate and the head set belong to Alien. The animal silhouette signifies the Mandalorian race, and the arrows come from the Walking Dead.

It is self-evident that Epic Games puts a lot of effort into including such minute details in cinematics and trailers. This explains the hype around every live event that the developers announce for players around the world.
